Quetta—A nine member-delegation of Chinese Investment Group Monday visited port city of Gwadar. They visited school, hospital and other important places in the town and were briefed by the administration on development schemes underway in connection with China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
The Chinese delegation led by Chairman, Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, Senator, Talha Mehmood visited office of Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) where Director Admin, GDA, Major. Saleem Mehmood Baloch briefed them on development work underway in connection with CPEC.
He briefed the delegation that the pace of construction work on projects pertaining to CPEC had been accelerated. The delegation also visited Gwadar Development Public High School and Gwadar Development Hospital where Lt-Col. Siddique briefed them on joint adventures of Pak Army and Ministries of Health and Education being taken in education and health sectors. Speaking on the occasion, Senator Mehmood said that CPEC would further strengthen historical friendship of Pakistan and China. He said that CPEC was going to become game changer for the entire region, bringing great development and boosting economy.—APP
