Although upcoming Bollywood films Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees will be released without any obstacles, Indian right-wight group MNS chief Shalini Thackeray says that things will never get better for Pakistani artists.
She has confirmed that the ban imposed on Fawad and Mahira will never be removed.
During the whole ban on Pakistani artists controversy, their main demand focused on banning Pakistani artistes like Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar and Mahira Khan.
According to a Bollywoodlife report, the Film Producers Guild issued a statement that MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) readily accepted that they would not oppose films starring Pakistani artistes that are complete or under production.
Commenting on the same, MNS Chief Shalini Thackeray said, “They had discussed and specified three movies and it applies to them including Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Raees and a movie called Dear Zindagi and nothing beyond this.”
Clarifying that the ban is forever, she added.
“We made it clear that we wanted a permanent ban on Pakistani artistes, technicians, and singers. We will ensure that no filmmaker works with Pakistan artistes in the future, even if the relations between the two countries improve. It is not timely or periodic, it will be forever and we will ensure that it is complied with.”
